Today I HAVE to figure out what to get Adam for his bday.His Amazon wish list has some books on it that I would have to go to the book store for which means I would have to make a trip and go to the dreaded mall. (you can't hear the DUN DUN DUN music that just played!) He wants a new game, but it seems like such a small thing to get him... Today I might clean my house. My strike has me knee deep in laundry to fold and my house is looking pretty bad... so it was fun while it lasted, but I believe my strike created more work in the end! No one else got the hint and did anything this week. I think my next strike will have to involve kicking my family out for a week!

A surgery, extra classes and now pink eye

Life seems to just be falling into my lap huge chunks at a time. Sometimes I just can't figure out how I am going to get it all figured out. Sometimes I feel like I can't breathe. This is one of those weeks! Yes I know it's Tuesday however this week began last week! Last week we found out Makenzie needs surgery on her ears. Years of unexplained and frequent ear infections have left her with lots of scaring and now some hearing issues. Also with worsening ear infections. Therefore, after Dr's apt's and a specialist we have an apt for surgery. On July 1st. Therefore, This week has been full of trying to get things ready for that surgery. That of course does not include everything I have to get done. 5 loads of laundry dinner and dishes every night for 6, a full course load in college where I am maintaining a 4.0. I of course have cheerleading parent meetings, and we are planning a big 4th of July party with about 40 people. That's just been this week! Then there's the bills and money that's a never ending job. A busy week you say? Yes I believed so also. Then on Sunday Alexandra ended up with pink eye. A Viral pink eye, so medication will aid with itching but not the actual virus. What is worse than trying to help a 5 year old through pink eye with out getting the rest of the family sick? A three year old with it also! Yep Monday Jacqueline ended up with pink eye also! same virus... We have had to wash remote controls, and door knobs, and sheets and loveys. All that and we have to try to keep Makenzie healthy, so we can have her surgery on Tuesday!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. So last night after dinner didn't turn out and the kids were fighting, I just lost it. I just fell on my bed and cried.I am mom, housekeeper, errand runner, accountant, chef and mediator, I don't have time to break down! I don't have the time to just give up for the day! However, there just come a time when my cup is full, and I just can't do anymore. I have to let go and have a good cry and let it all out. Next week promises to be more of the same. So, I am going to pick myself up and move along!
